Refund Policy

1. Free tier
The free tier is and will remain free. No refund applies because no payment is collected.
2. Paid tiers (when launched)
2.1 14-day satisfaction window
On your first payment for any Pro tier, you may request a full refund within 14 calendar days of the date of payment, for any reason. This satisfies the EU consumer right of withdrawal under Directive 2011/83/EU and exceeds it for the benefit of customers worldwide.
To request a refund, email info@tellride.xyz from the address linked to your TellRide account, with the subject "Refund request" and a one-line reason if you'd like to share one.
2.2 After the 14-day window
Outside the 14-day window, paid subscriptions are non-refundable for the current billing period, but you can cancel at any time and you will not be charged for any future periods. Your Pro features remain active until the end of the period you have paid for. We do not pro-rate refunds for the unused portion of a paid period.
2.3 Cancellation
You can cancel your subscription at any time from your TellRide account page (or by emailing us). Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; you keep Pro access until that date. No future charges will be made.
2.4 Exceptional refunds
Even outside the 14-day window, we will consider a refund if there has been a material defect in the Service or a billing error on our side. Email us and explain what happened; we will respond within 14 days.
3. How refunds are processed
Refunds will be issued by Paddle.com Market Limited, who acts as our Merchant of Record. Refunds are made to the original payment method. Typical processing times after we approve a refund:
- Credit or debit card: 5–10 business days, depending on your bank.
- PayPal: 3–5 business days.
- Local payment methods: as defined by the provider.
We do not charge a refund fee, and we refund the full amount you paid (including any tax that was charged at the time).
4. Trial periods and promotions
If we offer a free trial of Pro, no charge is made during the trial; if you do not cancel before the trial ends, the first full billing period is charged, and the 14-day satisfaction window in Section 2.1 starts from that first charge.
Promotional or discounted prices for renewal periods are honoured for the duration stated in the promotion; subsequent renewals revert to the standard price unless we say otherwise at the time of the offer.
5. Excluded situations
We cannot issue a refund in the following cases:
- Charges that were never made — please double-check the bank statement and contact your payment provider first.
- Charges made by a third party using your card without authorisation — this is a matter for your card issuer's chargeback procedure.
- Repeat 14-day refunds on successive accounts that appear designed to abuse the satisfaction window.
6. Statutory rights
Nothing in this Refund Policy limits any rights you have as a consumer that cannot be excluded under your local law, including the right of withdrawal under EU Directive 2011/83/EU for EU residents.

If we cannot resolve a refund issue together, you may contact:
- The European Commission's Online Dispute Resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
- The Estonian Consumer Disputes Committee at komisjon.ee (for Estonian and EU consumers).
- Your local consumer protection authority.
